This recession is hitting every hard. Many families are finding it nearly impossible to pay all their bills, especially if they have lost their jobs. And if you are stuck, unable to come up with enough money each month to make ends meet, you may be in luck with <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" rel="external nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://findfreegrantmoney.com”>government grants to pay bills.

In a country as rich as America and with as much money Uncle Sam takes in every year from our taxes and gives out to other countries, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that any American should be living without the basic necessities. It is a crime. But, unfortunately, many citizens have no idea that there is government help available…or maybe some are just too lazy to apply for it. Either way, the government sets back billions of dollars each and every year to help Americans with bills such as heating, rent, and food, much of which may go unclaimed each year.

>Each and every state in this country has some sort of government grant money to help people with certain bills. Each state gives these government grants to pay bills a different name such as heating assistance or utility assistance, but each one gives money for the same thing, which is to help pay the heating/air conditioning electric bills.

And, if your house is not energy efficient, you can also find grant money for bills that include putting in insulation in the attic, walls, or floors or to replace windows.

But those are not the only government grants to pay bills you can find. If you are at risk of losing your home to foreclosure, then you may be able to get assistance from a new government program through the recovery act in which you may be able to obtain a fixed rate mortgage with a lower payment, this allowing you to be able to pay your mortgage and keep your home.

However, if you are a renter and not an owner, you may be able to qualify for a housing voucher, allowing you to find affordable, clean, and safe housing for you and your family that is not located in a housing project area.

Plus if you qualify, you may be able to receive temporary financial assistance and job training in order for you to be able to make more money, thus being able to pay your bills with greater ease.

Lastly, there are even grants to help cover the cost of groceries and healthcare for those who apply and qualify. Plus, if you are interested in going back to school or starting a business, you may even be able to find and acquire grants in those areas too.

But remember, you must apply for these government grants to pay bills. They will not come to you, so do your research and find all the available grant sources you can, or take advantage of the grant kits and their free trials, which can save you time in the long run.

If you’ve been looking into investing in government foreclosures, you’re on the right track. As far as investing in property goes, you can’t beat the profit potential inherent in tax foreclosure properties. If you bypass the tax sale auction and purchase directly from the owners themselves, you stand to find some pretty good deals. (See http://deedgrabbers.com for more info on buying directly from owners.) However, even if you hate owning property, you can still get real estate sized paydays from government foreclosures a different way.

How? By focusing on the overages created at tax sale.

When more is bid for government foreclosures than is owed in back taxes, the government keeps that excess money for the owner to collect (this is true in most cases for both mortgage foreclosure sale, and tax foreclosure sale). If the owner never comes to get the money, after a few years the government gets to keep it. Unfortunately, since many owners have moved on from their last known address, they aren’t notified of the funds, and lose the money – permanently, with no recourse. That’s where you come in.

As a “found money pro”, or someone who researches these overages, you can easily make a six-figure income notifying people of the money they are unaware of. How? Two simple words: finder’s fees. Huge insider loophole: while in most states, state unclaimed funds have a cap to the percentage you can charge for a finder’s fees, most of these real estate created funds do not. This means that you can charge 30-50% (industry standard) for your assistance in recovering these funds. Is this ethical? Yes. Without you, 99% of the time, these owners will never find out about this money, and will lose it permanently. Most owners are more than happy to pay your fee and receive 50-70% than to receive 100% of nothing.

Especially in the current economy, more government foreclosures are happening than ever before. These overages regularly run into the tens of thousands of dollars. So for example, when you locate a $40,000 overage and get the owner under contract to allow you to assist for a 40% fee, when all is said and done, you’ll walk away with a $16,000 paycheck. Not bad for a few days’ work, is it?

If you’ve had more than one job in your life, chances are you have a few super accounts – you may have even lost track of some of them! Consolidating your super is about finding all your super monies and moving them into one account – so you can get clear view of your super and really start to make your money work for your retirement.

The difference over 30 years for an investor who has one fund with a balance of $7,200 and annual administration fees of $60, compared to an investor with six super funds, each with balances of $1,200 and annual administration fees of $60 each, is around $14,000.

Learn more about consolidating your super in three easy steps:

Benefits of consolidating your super

The biggest advantage of combining your super accounts is the potential savings in administration fees. Generally, the larger your super account balance the smaller the proportion of fees you’re charged for that account. So if you’re paying a number of account fees, you can reduce the amount of fees you pay by reducing the number of super funds you have. Another advantage of consolidating your superannuation is less paperwork. Having one super account means you only have one set of paperwork to manage. This could make it easier to keep on top of your super and understand exactly how it’s performing. By adopting a more focused investment strategy, you might end up achieving a better return on your investment and work towards a fulfilling retirement.

Consolidating your super is not just about saving money in administration fees, it’s also about giving your super the potential to really grow. With the power of compounding returns, the money you save in fees could really help grow your super balance.

Things to be aware of before moving your money

There are some things you should consider before you move money out of a super fund. Firstly, check to see if your super fund charges you an exit fee?. This means you could incur upfront withdrawal or exit fees for moving your money out of these funds. Depending on the number of super accounts you currently have, your upfront exit costs could end up being higher than your total savings in administration fees.

Secondly, your decision to move money out of a super fund could impact the level of insurance cover you had through that fund. It’s possible your insurance cover could be discontinued when you move between funds, or you may not be able to obtain equivalent cover in the new super fund. It is recommended that you check any exit fees that may be payable to your other fund(s), and any insurance cover you may have that cannot be replicated, before making the decision to move and consolidate your money.

Once you have weighed up the benefits against the costs of moving super funds and do decide to consolidate; here are a few tips to keep in mind:

How do I consolidate my super?

Consolidating your super can be made easy depending on the facilities that your super fund of choice has to provide. For instance, check with your super fund of choice if they have any tools which can provide you the required forms that need to be sent to your other super funds to authorise the transfer of funds to your new fund account.

Otherwise simply get the ‘Request To Transfer’ form relevant to your super account of choice and fill this in to get the ball rolling with the consolidation of your super funds. Just make sure you have the right proof of IDs attached to your forms to help your new super provider organise the account.

Doing what’s best for you, and your super

There are new rules designed to keep super safe from money laundering and terrorism-financing for all Australians. This means proof of identity is required to move money around the super system. It’s a small extra step in the process to protect your money. Proof of identity can be as simple as a certified copy of your driver’s licence or passport. If you don’t have either of these documents, contact your new super provider to get more information. There are other documents that can be certified as proof of identity.

Find your lost super

One in three Australians have lost or unclaimed super, totalling almost $12 billion as mentioned by ASFA media release on the 21st of December 2007.

The Australian Tax Office (ATO) provides a free ‘SuperSeeker’ service to help people locate super accounts they’ve lost track of. If you’ve changed jobs more than once, chances are you’re likely to find some super money through the ATO.

To use ‘SuperSeeker’, have your Tax File Number ready and visit www.ato.gov.au/super or call the ATO on 132 865.

Debt Relief Grants From The Government

With the availability of debt grants, anyone can get debt relief from the government to pay off bills and avoid any further financial damage. These government debt relief grants are available to American citizens who are at least 18 year old and meet the qualifications. Once approved, you’ll receive a check in the mail to pay off debt, which you will never have to pay back. Interestingly, even though millions of people are receiving debt grants, these programs tend to be a well kept secret. Since the government does not spend money on marketing and advertising debt relief grants, you simply just have to know about them on your own.

The government is mandated to give this money away. Every year it budgets over $20 billion to give financial aid to people who are facing financial hardship, and this money has to be given out as long as the budget remains. Unfortunately, because of the lack of education, many of these debt grants go unclaimed. For those who are aware of these programs, this presents plenty of opportunity to receive free grant money from the government. Debt grants are offered by a variety of government agencies. Your local community may offer debt grants, and you can find debt relief programs through your state government as well. All you need is to a little detective work to find available funds that you qualify for, and then ask for the money.

When you find the debt grants you are interested in applying for, simply read the instructions on how to qualify and submit your application. It could be as simple as filling out a quick form and waiting for a check to arrive in the mail. Generally there is no credit check, no down payment, and no collateral needed. It’s just free money from the government you’ll never have to repay.
